I discovered quite early that I enjoyed writing and playing with words. When I barely knew how to write I started making up stories and sharing them in primary school. Later on I was crazy about foreign languages, English in particular. I wanted them to be part of my future job. With tourism I found the perfect combination - the opportunity to use different languages and to write about things I am interested in: travelling and Ireland.
My blog is a project that I started purely for pleasure. I write about whatever comes into my mind with no goal whatsoever where this 'writer journey' is going to take me. My posts are mostly connected to my life in Ireland. However I don't want to tie myself down to any topics in order to attract more readers. I am convinced that people will only read my stories if they come from the heart. And I like a good bit of sarcasm, so please take everything with a pinch of salt.
Having worked for several Irish Incoming Tour Operators in the past few years it has always been my favourite task to write new travel itineraries. Instead of squeezing in as many attractions as possible I like to tell visitors about my personal favourites and encourage them to savour the authentic Ireland.
Whilst currently being a stay-at-home-mom I still write travel programmes to the British Isles on a freelance basis. Therefore I am pretty much up-to-date with the latest industry trends and didn't lose my professional focus. I am also available for creating tourism related newsletters as well as PR texts for brochures or trade shows.
Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions about travelling or moving to Ireland. Or feel free to leave a comment on one of my blog posts.
